Partner with Bookbanks
Do you work or volunteer with a food bank, and think we could be a good fit?
Building on the successful partnerships forged with our first 13 food banks, we are now embarking on an exciting new phase of growth.
We plan to partner with 30 food banks across the UK by 2030, increasing the number of books we give out to 5,000 each month, and giving the charity a presence in 1% of the country’s food banks.
The charity’s expansion strategy will see it forge partnerships with food banks in six regional hubs.

Volunteer with Bookbanks
We are always looking for volunteers who have a background in books and a passion for talking about and widening access to them, to help look after our Bookbanks stalls inside food banks.
Our next intake will be in the autumn, ready to start in November 2026. If you think this could be you, please fill in THIS FORM. We are immensely grateful for everyone’s enthusiastic support!

Work with Bookbanks
We rely on fundraising efforts from individuals and organisations in order to bring books to food banks and create spaces for conversation, inspiration and community.

We would welcome any financial donations to Bookbanks, to help us meet our aims to support our existing eleven sites and expand to partner with more food banks and reaching new communities throughout the UK.
Our grassroots structure means you’re making a real and immediate difference, using books to help change the story at food banks.
If you have books that you’d like to pass on, thank you so much for thinking of us. We are currently giving out around 1,700 books every month.
Thanks to everyone’s incredible generosity, we are well-stocked with books at all our locations, and may not have space for your donations right now - thank you for your understanding.
